Annual General Meeting 2004
Our recent AGM was held at the Bod Erw, St Asaph which was very well attended. Our speaker was Julie Templeton
who spoke about in-hand classes, ridden etc. We had a very animated Question and Answer round. This year we introduced
a new award the 'Equine of the Year' Award', this was presented to Nejmeh Sharaza. This horse was bread on Anglesey
by Mrs Evans and has been owned since weening by Vivienne Nelson from Corwen. This delightful pure bred Arabian
has enjoyed a carefully directed career by his very committed owner. Nejmeh stood third at both 2001 and 2002
Horse of the Year Shows, whilst in 2003 he stood second with only one mark dividing him from the winning horse.
Our congratulations go to Vivienne and Kirsty owner and rider respectively.
For those of you unable to attend the AGM, you will not be aware that our area competed in the Points Scheme at
last years Championship Show, where we came 8th winning £100. At our Summer Show this year there will be an I
nhand Area Championship and a Ridden Championship. All area members winning on the day will be eligible to enter
these Championships. There will be £50 prize money for both of these Championships. We hope you agree with t
he committees decision to give this money back to the members.

Forthcoming Events
Saturday October 16th 2004 is our Winter Show including Foal, Young Stock and Ridden Show, held at the
Welsh College Horticulture, Northop. Also taking place will be our Stallion Parade which proved to be very
successful and we had great feedback from last year. We hope over the years this event will grow and grow.
Schedules available from the Show Secretary. (Please see Committee Contacts above).
Anyone wishing to parade their stallion is invited to submit a brief resume of his breeding, showing and progeny's
history. Along with photographs and stud cards, these will displayed at the show. This is a real showcase
opportunity to bring to the attention of the showing fraternity the quality and diversity of Stallions available
in our area. All stallions parading must have a stallion license.
We as an area have an abundance of very high class equines of various breeds and disciplines with many dedicated
breeders and exhibitors residing within our boundaries. Let us try as an area to make the rest of the equine
world more aware of what we have in our area. We hope as members you will support this parade over the
forthcoming years.
Sunday February 13th 2005 will be our Annual General Meeting, to be held at the Bod Erw, St Asaph, 12 noon.
All tickets must be paid for in advance.
