The club has been the venue for both the Welsh and North wales qualifying round of snooker competitions.
Teams that represent the local league in the inter-league competitions play at the Pot Black club.
Famous snooker players who have played at the Pot Black include:
Doug Mountjoy
James Wattana
Bill Werbuneck
Ray Reardon - who officially opened the club in the late 1980's
Mark Williams - prior to turning professional when he represented the Welsh Junior Team
The 2001 World Darts Champion - John "Boy" Walton has also visited the club where he 'took on' the
clubs winter darts team.
