Denbighshire Community Strategy Scheme - Shaping the Future Together |
Contacts |
What is a Community Strategy and why is it important?
There is a need to all counties to produce a Community Strategy for their area to improve economic, environmental and
social well-being, working towards raising the quality of life in the area. The strategy, once produced, will have a
long term vision (10-15 years) and a short term action plan (3-5 years).
The strategy that we create together will not only guide the work of the Council but the work of other service providers.
The Community Strategy aims to improve the Quality of Life in Denbighshire by promoting economic, social and
environmental well-being.
Our partners include the public and private sectors, voluntary and community groups.
Local area partnerships in Rhyl, Prestatyn, Central and South Denbighshire will work together to identify local
problems, priorities and solutions.
These local partnerships will produce their own area plans which will inform the Denbighshire Community Strategy,
provide the opportunity for people to participate in shaping their community, influence decision making to improve
services, co-ordinate service delivery.
If you are interested in finding out more, or becoming a member of an Area Parnership Group, please contact your local
area partnership manager below.
